Undoubtedly, the Pontiac Solstice will make you beam a lot of the time; but not 24/7. Several cool features are now standard for 2008 including a CD stereo with an MP3 player input and OnStar. For 2008, the Solstice comes in base and high-performance GXP trims. Standard for both are 18-inch wheels, a tilt steering wheel, OnStar telematics, a manual soft top, trip computer and an audio system with satellite radio, and a CD/MP3 player. The high-performance GXP additionally includes a turbocharged engine, dual exhaust outlets, full power accessories, a limited-slip differential, foglamps, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry.

The Pontiac Solstice accommodates two. There is minimal space for the trunk, only earning 5.4 cubic feet of volume when the top is up.

The base Solstice achieves 173-horsepower from its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The GXP’s turbocharged engine produces 260-horsepower as a 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Five-speed automatic is optional for both trims, but the five-speed manual transmission is standard.

Standard safety equipment for both trims includes a tire pressure monitoring system and four-wheel disc brakes. The GXP also has ABS and stability control, which are optional for the standard Solstice.
