Pontiac Recalls 35,000 G8 Sedans
By the end of 2009 it may not be possible to get your hands on a brand new Pontiac model. And now the make’s last great ride, Pontiac G8, is being kicked while it’s down. The NHTSA (which, for those not in the know, stands for National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) has ordered the recall of 35,038 Pontiac G8’s for faulty brake lights and tire pressure monitoring system.

Pontiac’s 2008 and 2009 G8 models are listed in this recall – a blemish on GM’s last chance to show any bit of style or performance presence they have left in the Pontiac make. If your G8 has the bad brake light issue, it causes your tail lights to remain on, confusing other drivers on the road. The tire pressure censor is pretty self explanatory – the device gives you an incorrect pressure reading.

Hmm…Brake lights that won’t switch off, tires that may not be properly filled – maybe the new G8 is just trying to tell us something?
